Greetings From Wonderland!
Wonderland is the new 7-track EP /mini album by Signia Alpha, a group spearheaded by multi-instrumentalist Matt Webster, who provides drums, guitars and vocals, and is the follow up to the acclaimed Entropy LP from 2023.
Guest musicians include:
Paul Gray (The Damned, Wingmen, Sensible Gray Cells, Eddie & The Hot Rods) adds his distinctive Rickenbacker bass guitar to the title track, the instrumental 'For Your Ears Only', and the Gothic 'Moonlight'.
Harris (Chaing, Grim, Nowt, Zed) sings co-lead vocals on 'Wonderland' and 'Moonlight' and narrates the sci-fi adventure that is 'A Slave To Enterprise' and adds various guitars.
Paul Tunnicliffe (Slammer, Chaing) co-writes and sings 'Anyway' and 'Starlight'.
Simon 'Nogsy' Nolan (Anti-System, SpyBand, Zed), adds acoustic guitar and backing vocals to 'Wonderland'.
Mark Cranmer (Vegetable Section) plays bass guitar on 'A Slave To Enterprise'.
Guitarist Wulf Ingham lends his psychedelic solos to a couple of tracks and harmonica to the acoustic 'Anyway'.
Jazz saxophonist Keith Jafrate and flautist Chris Walsh sprinkle their melodic flourishes over 'Starlight' and 'Moonlight'.

Where's Captain Kirk? We've all paid for him to go into space. A story of free market economics as told by Harris, over XTC drums and laid back, smoky lead guitar.

Bond meets The Beatles as guitars and piano blend with the majestic Rickenbacker bass fills of Paul Gray.

4. Anyway
Acoustic Led Zeppelin vibe with Slammer vocalist Paul Tunnicliffe reflecting on the plight of the homeless.

5. Starlight
A measure of psychedelic funk with Tunnicliffe musing on an escape from the mundane.

6. Moonlight
A Gothic snapshot from Matt Webster and Harris' time spent in Prague and adventures with Absinthe. Reverbed acoustic guitars and Paul Gray's epic bass echo The Damned's Black Album.

7. Killing Flies
A campfire acoustic tale of torment by flies in a van in the height of summer. ​​
